For Brooke and Julie, I added a slight vignette, and adjusted the levels. I used the soft light option to lighten up their faces. I love this picture because Julie was sporadic, and they both look so happy. I like the soft look it has.
For Katie at the piano, I really liked the photo in black and white. She loves to play the piano, so I took her to the snow where I know there was a grand piano. I love the reflection of her hands in the piano! I changed the angle, and opened the lid of the piano. After using the gradient map, I adjusted the contrast slightly.
I wanted to have a different portrait picture, and I caught her laughing! I just love how in the moment this picture is. I adjusted the saturation, and adjusted the levels slightly.
Brittany's picture had great light. Her eyes look bright and big. I added a slight vignette. I cleared up some blemishes, and cleared up her eyebrows. With her face structure, I changed the angle instead of having it horizontal and I felt like the focus was really on her.

You got some really great shots! I really like the composition of the shot of Brittany. I like how the light is coming into the picture. And I like the candid shots that you took of your friends. Sometimes it's hard to get those shots that are candid but you captured them well. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture. So candid and will be a picture to keep for a long time. Also great angle on the shot of Brittany. She's centered but it totally works.
ReplyDeleteI like all of these a lot except the one of just julie. looks like she might have been kind of hard to photograph. Great capture on the first one though, that's a stellar portrait.
